# Elevate Improvements and Bug Fixes
1. **Discoverable and easy-to-use options to increase or decrease playback speed.**
The current options have a couple of problems:
a) Members cannot choose the desired speed in one click.
b) The chosen speed resets to normal after the video is paused and played (bug), but in the menu, it still shows the old speed option as selected.
For example, if a user selected a playback speed of 2X, then paused the video and played it again, the speed is reset to 1X. However, in the menu, it still shows as 2X.
Solution:
Can we build a more discoverable option like YouTube, and the speed should not reset even after the user pauses and plays the video?
As a member,
- I should be able to select the desired speed.
- View the selected desired speed when the video is playing.
- The selected desired speed should not reset when the video is paused and played.



1. **Quick shortcuts to forward the video and rewind the video by 10 seconds.**
This is needed because users want to fast forward the video by 10 seconds if they feel a part of the content is repetitive or a concept they already know.
An option to forward and rewind the video by 10 seconds, visible on the video player.
We already have this option that works with keyboard shortcuts, but if we can show it on the UI, users will know there is an option, and they can do the same via mouse click too.

1. **Visually showing recommended videos in the sidebar.**
Currently, we recommend videos to the user based on the role name, but these recommendations only appear on the home screen. Therefore, every time a user wants to view recommended videos, they have to go back to the home screen.
Solution:
We can display all recommended videos, identified by badges, in the sidebar within the module or video menu.

1. Unique Video Identification tags
**Most watched video** in the entire Elevate platform, including specific modules, is determined based on the number of unique viewers who have watched more than 20% of the video.
**Most loved video**: The video with the highest watch hour and average view duration.

1. **Dynamic way to display upcoming modules and videos.**
**For modules**: If a module has been created via the admin dashboard and no videos have been uploaded in the module, it should appear in the sidebar with the module name and a 'coming soon' tag. This can also be reused across the GrowthX platform in Crafts, Outcomes, and other future learning products we build.
**For videos**: Adding a sub-module and a flag to mark it as 'coming soon' should be helpful.
This will inform existing Elevate users that more new content is on the way.

1. **Navigation Issue**
When a user goes to a specific section like 'estimation' and plays an estimation video, and then clicks on the back button, it takes them to the 'Curated For You' or 'Elevate Home' instead of that section.

1. **Identification to show watched videos in the dashboard**
Currently, GX members are not able to identify which videos they have watched via the home screen. Therefore, we need to provide visual identification that indicates when a user has completed watching the videos.
There are two ways to show this identification:
1. Having separate sections on the home screen to display watched videos.
2. Implementing categorization at the video level, such as using badges or showing progress to indicate completion.
